
West London College has announced that their CEO and Principal, Karen Redhead, has been appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to education. Karen is a board member designate of West London Business, and will represent the West London FE community on the WLB board.
Karen is an accomplished leader with a successful track record of building organisational transformation in Further Education (FE) and is recognised as one of the sector’s leading experts on apprenticeships.
Karen brought her exemplary leadership and strategic management experience to West London College in 2018, leading the organisation through a challenging time with high energy, determination and integrity putting the College, staff and students best interest first.
Karen is proud to be a ‘product of FE’ and has 28 years experience in education. She has occupied senior roles in two national funding agencies and four regional colleges and is currently undertaking a PhD on educational policy reform.
