Mitchell Brook Primary School has a vacancy for a school Governor and ideally would like to engage someone from the local Park Royal business community. Mitchell Brook is in the Borough of Brent (NW10 9BX) and its school motto is “ Inspiring the minds of tomorrow to be confident lifelong learners”.
The Ofsted report of 2016 describes Mitchell Brook as a vibrant learning community. Head Teacher Theresa Landreth says: ‘ At our school we are very proud to have a diverse school community in which many languages, cultures and religions learn together. We try to enhance the life of each child, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to take a full part in society; both now and in the future. We promote an understanding, tolerance, fairness and respect for others.’
Governors set the aims and objectives for the school and set the policies and targets for achieving them. They monitor and evaluate the progress the school is making and act as a source of challenge and support to the headteacher.
