In the glory days of summer, Upstream launched the UK’s first business-meets-comedy-festival, Gigglebyte.

Highlights:

Launch party and panel – Fuelling business growth with humour
Possibly the most entertaining and informative panel talk they’ve ever seen. With 3 Edinburgh Festival performers, 1 BAFTA Award-winning writer and 1 TV business expert, this session was crammed full of wisdom, insight and laughs. The diverse audience and prosecco meant the perfect start to Gigglebyte.

Stand Up and Pitch 
9 female entrepreneurs took part in a pitching workshop with Sarah Archer, a stand up comedian and business coach, then harnessed their new skills to pitch to our investor panel in the evening. The result was mind-blowing transformation – check out the videos on the Upstream blog.

Improv Your Business
Businesses from across the borough took part in an improv comedy workshop, designed to show how improv could help business success. Hoopla Business delivered the workshop but it was the attendees who created the stories that brought everyone together!

Imperial College ThinkSpace are showcasing its new White City campus, including the research and commercialisation activities in Chemistry at the new Molecular Science Research Hub and Biomedical Engineering at the Michael Uren Bioengineering Research Hub.
