Covening Procurement leaders from five of the partnership’s universities the group is seeking to support community wealth building and maximise positive social and environmental impact of spending.  This is particularly important given the HEIs’ anchor institution status – and the group supports the sharing of best practice between professionals. 

The group is exploring:

• Local spending with SMEs in suitable categories, leveraging a common database of SMEs through West London Business
• Environmental impact and reducing carbon in procurement
• Social value in procurement
• A common approach to working with SMEs, for example tools to assist with complying with HEI procurement requirements
