Upstream is an exciting new network, bringing together people from the global companies, tech and creative start-ups/scaleups who call Hammersmith & Fulham home. On Tuesday 28 November at Blenheim Chalcot’s offices at 1 Hammersmith Broadway, we will hold “Investable? Fundraising for Tech: Lessons from investors & start-ups”, an in-conversation style event with Manoj Badale & Mark Onyett, partners at Blenheim Chalcot, one of the UK’s leading digital venture builder with sales of over £300 million, over 3000 employees and a successful track record of over 40 companies. Get their insights on how they decide on which tech start-ups to invest in and their broader experiences of building businesses and working with other investors. Providing a perspective from the other side of the table are Simon Hay, co-founder of ed-tech scale-up Firefly Learning, who raised £4.5 million last autumn and Irra Ariella Khi, co-founder of blockchain cyber security start-up VChain Technology, who raised $1million last year. The conversation will be led by Sophie Devonshire, entrepreneur and author of Superfast: How to Lead at Speed (out spring’18).
