Business incubation programmes are often sponsored and hosted by private companies, local authorities and educational organisations, such as colleges and universities.

Incubators’ goal is to help create and grow young businesses by providing them with support including financial and technical services; rather like a co-working space on steroids!   ‘Business accelerators’ are similar to incubators, as the name suggests, but compress the timescale for starting up by operating as a type of boot camp.
