Sustainable Pioneers Launch The Ebico Affordable Warmth Incubator Programme

Sustainable Pioneers CIC, part of the Sustainable Ventures group, is thrilled to have partnered with The Ebico Trust to launch The Ebico Affordable Warmth Incubator Programme.

The programme will support the creation of new businesses that will develop innovative and impactful ideas to address the long-standing challenges of providing affordable, low-carbon warmth to the UK’s most vulnerable households.

The programme is looking for promising entrepreneurs to turn this vision into a reality by creating and going to market with cutting-edge sustainability innovations. The programme provides an opportunity for ambitious entrepreneurs to apply novel thinking to this complex challenge, supported by Sustainable Pioneers’ deep venture development expertise.

The programme will run for two years, offering the opportunity to one cohort each year. Candidates will join the cohort as individuals, form teams and pitch their ideas in a bid to progress through two incubation phases providing bespoke business development support and funding.

  • Up to 20 successful applicants will join the programme as individuals and in July 2021, will take part in a three-week long entrepreneurs bootcamp.
  • Teams will then pitch their ideas in August 2021 for the opportunity to progress to the first incubation stage of the programme and receive three months of incubation support, a £7.5k grant per team and coworking space in Sustainable Workspaces’ flagship site in London (Waterloo).
  • In November 2021, these pre-startup teams will pitch again, in a bid for £15k of investment and a further four and a half months of bespoke support in preparation for further funding and scale.
  • In March 2022, there will be an opportunity to pitch for up to £125k of investment from the Sustainable Accelerator, which also includes a place on their year-long accelerator programme.
