Octink Highly Commended at PrintWeek Awards in Out-of-Home category

Octink has been Highly Commended in the Out-of-Home Printer of the Year category at the PrintWeek Awards, which took place on Monday 17 October 2016 celebrating the best of the UK print industry.

Octink entered the category for the second consecutive year, after taking first prize at the 2015 Awards.

mf“We’re delighted to have been recognised in this category for the second year running,” comments Mike Freely, MD at Octink. “This acknowledgement confirms our dedication and creativity in this market sector.”

Mike concludes: “To be acknowledged in this space once again and for projects we’re very proud of, is a true testament to our hard working team and endorses Octink as a leading producer in the display graphics and signage sector.”

Octink entered four projects for its work in the out-of-home space, with the judges drawing particular attention to that of South Bank Place, where Octink created a perimeter branding scheme to highlight the future development’s features while also creating a strong brand impression. Octink’s solution included five 6 meter by 3.15 meter LED-illuminated digitally printed flex-face lightboxes above the hoarding, as well as three LED—illuminated digitally printed flex-face free-standing signs installed in prominent corners, all with visuals echoing the message on the hoarding. The judges commented: “Great use of substrates made this entry stand out.”
