Join Metro Bank and Kingston Smith, as we look back on a year of significant
headlines, regulatory and fundraising changes and financial reporting
developments.
Luke Holt and Mahmood Ramji, Partners in Kingston Smith’s Not for Profit department will cover a raft of changes in the last twelve
months – practical implementation of the FRS 102 SORP, the removal of the FRSSE, a number of charity consultations and the
Common Reporting Standard’s application for the Charity sector.
We will then be joined by James Newell, Director of Kingston Smith Fundraising and Management. James will cover the most
significant topic of 2016 (and something that is sure to continue into 2017) – Fundraising. James will look back at what happened,
the six key principles from the revised Charity Commission (CC20) guidance to trustees on fundraising, the new Fundraising
Regulator and what the future holds.
James will finish with an overview of the other topic that is gathering pace in the sector – Impact Reporting. He will explore how
Charities can understand and communicate their impact, practical ways to present this impact and the available frameworks
including Social Return on Investment (SROI).”
