At West London Business (WLB) we believe sustained focus is needed to enhance links between business and schools, promoting enterprise and employability skills in the school, Further Education and Higher Education curricula.
We support the work of our charity partners, Action West London and Spark! in this area, as well as local education and training providers. They work with many hundreds of businesses across West London each year supporting young people transition into the world of work.
WLB strongly supports the greater devolution of skills funding to the Mayor of London. The capital’s need are unique and require dedicated attention and budgeting. Our Education and skills policy work is presently focused on:

Education & Skills Policy Commission
The West London Education & Skills Policy commission was launched in late February 2016. The Commission published its draft report in early March 2017. The final report, with minor amendments,”Education-business links, Apprenticeships and embracing automation in West London” was published in September 2018. Sponsors of this policy commission were Brunel University London & PwC.
