Resilience First Briefing and Reception: Cyber Resilience
Cyber resilience is about surviving and thriving in the internet age. It goes beyond digital security and emphasises two key aspects of resilience, namely response and adaptation. Both features are based on the premise that an attacker may get through or a system fail.
A recent Parliamentary Committee report said that: ‘There are a whole host of areas where the Government could be doing much more, especially in creating wider cultural change that emphasises the need for continual improvement to cyber resilience across CNI sectors.’
GCHQ is at the forefront of the UK’s efforts to minimise the dangers and improve our countermeasures so that we are better prepared for the future. We are fortunate to have the head of that organisation speak to Resilience First members on the important question of cyber resilience. The briefing will be followed by a reception.
Speaker:
Jeremy Fleming, Director GCHQ
