Green New Deal Fund to provide even more support for London businesses

Backed by the Mayor of London’s Green New Deal and building on the success of the established Better Futures Programme, 2021 brings the exciting announcement of a further expansion to the programme.

Better Futures+ is a £900K Programme funded by the Green New Deal and delivered in conjunction with our world-leading expert delivery partners at Imperial College London, Sustainable Ventures, ICON, OPDC and now in partnership with ReLondon. The expansion aims to continue to promote and support innovation, sustainability and diversity within London’s flourishing Cleantech business sector through a suite of support measures.

As part of the funding, West London Business is

delivering a Green Innovation Voucher Scheme to provide SMEs access to green business transformation consultancy worth £5000. The initial pilot phase includes 12 businesses in the film, creative, food and hospitality sectors. We will be announcing the selected companies soon.
building a directory of cleantech businesses across London providing providing a comprehensive view for investors, partners and businesses of home grown innovations and solutions to support London's Net Zero targets.
developing a Learning Zone (through the SkillsWest.London digital platform) - a green skills/ training portal for West London with an initial focus on retrofit. working with ‘Tech for Better’
