Have your say on the Government’s draft Airports National Policy Statement Consultation

The first milestone for delivering a new north-west runway at the UK’s hub airport, Heathrow, has been reached with the UK government now consulting on its draft Airports National Policy Statement (NPS).  The airport has also taken a significant step forward in launching Heathrow 2.0 with input from environmental groups, academics, community leaders, as well as Heathrow staff, passengers, commercial partners and suppliers.  Heathrow 2.0 sets out the airport’s new sustainability leadership strategy, which aspires to make Heathrow airport a centre of excellence for the aviation industry.

Until Thursday 25 May 2017, the Government will consult across the country on the draft NPS. The Government will take into account those consultation responses and provide the House of Commons an opportunity to vote on a final version of the NPS this coming winter.
