Business action to support those impacted by the Ukraine conflict

There is a real urgency to humanitarian relief and businesses pledging to offer jobs and sponsorship for those both stuck in Ukraine and those seeking refuge in the UK.

Mace has already committed to providing 50 jobs. If you can join them in making a sponsorship pledge, even if you don’t yet know numbers, please do let West London Business partners London First know via Laura Osborne (e-mail: and/ or make your offer through the Government platform:

London First are collating these offers and working with the Sanctuary Foundation to highlight businesses’ commitments. They are also feeding back insights from the business community into how to make the scheme work through to officials at DLUHC and the Home Office.

The immediate ask remains financial donations and the GLA has prepared a summary of ways to donate and to support, which can be viewed here.

At this stage, for the most part, items are not the most useful (although London First do have a list from UNHCR of things required at bulk so do get in touch if you would like a copy) – the priority is financial support to key agencies and jobs pledges.
