Consolidated Logistic Services (CLS) and Hounslow Chamber of Commerce join forces to show Small Firms how to access Heathrow Supply Chain
Following the successful SME Gateway to Heathrow Conference held at Birds Hill Golf Club in September; the collaboration between Hounslow Chamber, CLS, Surrey Chambers of Commerce, Maidenhead Chamber of Commerce, FSB and West London Business has grown in purpose.
CLS have agreed to become a Business Patron of Hounslow Chamber of Commerce with the promises of closer collaboration to deliver seven information business training lunches in 2018 which will introduce small businesses to specialists Mentors and Advisers to ensure that they are Procurement Ready for inclusion in the CLS family that supports the Heathrow supply chain.
Stephen Fry, Hounslow Chamber CEO said:
I am very excited by this collaboration between CLS and Hounslow Chamber. It will afford our local small businesses a unique opportunity to access the £1.7bn annual Heathrow spend on goods and services.
Heathrow’s local supply chain drives a West London economy worth £50bn, the second largest economic powerhouse in the UK. Our combined efforts will open this up to small local businesses.
Ferose Gazi, MD of CLS said:
Heathrow vision is our vision. Together we are stronger team. And we will make it happen. Our team will continue engaging with HAL to keep SME’s up to date with all new opportunities and procedures. And prepare them to work as Tier-2 suppliers. We are committed to driver 2.0 cycles. It is only possible if Heathrow give us the opportunity as a preferred supplier solution to support SME’s.
We are looking forward to this major opportunity and looking forward with all new SME’s. HAL support is absolute essential to move forward with our ambition. We are committed to Hounslow Chamber of Commerce in order to come closer to Heathrow requirements.
CLS and Hounslow Chamber will launch the Hounslow Business Briefings focussing on small businesses accessing the Heathrow supply chain at the Hounslow Festival of Business on February 8th 2018 at the Hilton Syon Park.
