Ealing-based GL Connects offer 1:1 coaching and ‘Coaching for success’ two-day programme

Ealing-based GL Connects offer 1:1 coaching and ‘Coaching for success’ two-day programme

One-to-One coaching

Many people distinguish between different approaches to coaching; for example business coaching, life coaching, executive coaching etc. GL Connects believe that coaching is coaching, whether it is in a personal or business situation.

One of the essential elements of coaching, is that the coach and coachee are confident that they can work well together. Therefore, for the first session GL Connects, as coaches offer a free one hour, one-to-one meeting with the coachee ensuring that the coach and coachee are comfortable working with each other. This initial investment on their part significantly increases the benefits for the individual/ client.

After the initial free meeting, GL Connects recommend a minimum of three and ideally six sets of two-hour sessions. The investment associated with this will include the coaching meeting itself, setting clear goals to be achieved between the sessions and follow-up notes by the coach.

Creating a culture of coaching –  an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) endorsed programme

Coaching for success is a two-day coaching programme providing delegates with the skills and knowledge to begin their coaching journey and for the organisation to start creating a culture of coaching through the leaders and managers in the organisation. The two days are delivered separately with up to four weeks in-between, providing delegates with the opportunity to practice skills and complete a short assignment.

Research indicates that a culture of coaching results in significant benefits to the organisation which include increase in individual productivity and motivation, team member retention, clarity in goals and how to achieve them – and more.

The workshop is an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) endorsed programme which, as an added benefit for the delegates, gives them 12 months of student membership to the ILM. This includes access to a wide range of on-line resources, regular newsletters to support them in their personal development and digital copies of The Edge, the ILM magazine, packed with useful articles relating to leadership and management.
